COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS

Entry & Voting

Entry is for acoustic singer-songwriters, and each act will need to have a minimum of two original songs to perform on the night.

Entrants will be notified of the date of their allocated performance slot within 2 days of entry.

Voting for the competition is run as a rolling leader board. Each competition night the audience will be asked to vote for their favourite act, with the most popular being awarded top points for the evening. The staff will have the second vote and will rank the acts according to preference.

On Fridays and Saturdays our booked performer will be invited to be a guest judge, and on Sundays our Open Mic host will provide the 3rd 'guest judge' vote.

Once the votes have been collected these will be converted into points and each act will be placed on the leaderboard. At the end of all the competition nights the 10 acts at the top of the leaderboard will be invited to the final on December 8th.

The final will be decided by audience vote, staff vote and our open mic host's vote. There will be a straight result of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place.

Venue, licensing & under-18s

All of Millsy's standard procedures and licensing conditions will be in place.

Our licensing conditions mean that under-18s are only able to be in the venue when the focus of the bar is on dining, rather than drinks. With heats taking place in the evening this does unfortunately mean we have to limit the competition to over-18s only.

All contestants can claim a free Pint of Guinness, can of Guinness Zero, or cocktail from our Classic Cocktail range. Complimentary alcoholic beverages are for the participant only, have no cash value, and cannot be gifted to another person.

In the event that the capacity of the venue is reached, any acts booked in will be granted access but accompanying friends may not, so early arrival is advised.

Any musical instruments or audio equipment brought by the performer will be the performers full responsibility. Please ensure you bring any leads/power cables/batteries for your musical instrument.
